A tuxedo is the pinnacle of men`s formal wear but choosing your tuxedo wearing it with confidence and knowing when to wear it can sometimes prove to be a difficult dilemma for many men. Tuxedos are usually worn for formal events such as weddings a dinner party or evening reception for a ball or events such as attending a ballet or the opera. If the event has an invitation this will often give you an indication as to whether you should be wearing a tux. If your invitation to an event states black tie black tie optional or formal wear this is a clear indication that you should be wearing one. If you don`t already own a tuxedo you may be faced with the dilemma of whether to rent or buy one for the occasion firstly you should consider whether you will wear your tux again as buying will definitely be more expensive but if you are likely to wear it again it will prove more cost effective over time. Buying your own tux will provide you with a better fit than you would achieve from a hire shop and will also save you the inconvenience of hiring and taking it back every time you attend a formal event.
Jacket: A tuxedo or dinner jacket is usually black or midnight blue. The jacket may be either single or double-breasted style. It may have either a silk or satin notched or satin shawl lapel. Compared to the double-breasted one single-breasted tuxedo is considered more formal.
