Efficiently use low quality irrigation water: Use of reclaimed municipal wastewater is important for conservation of natural resources. Reclaimed water can be satisfactorily used if amended with gypsum and water-soluble polymers.
Makes slightly wet soils easier to till: Soils that have been treated with gypsum have a wider range of soil moisture levels where it is safe to till without danger of compaction or deflocculation. Even a liberal application of gypsum is a good procedure for starting a piece of land into no-till soil management or pasture. Gypsum also improves the ability of soil to drain and not become waterlogged due to a combination of high sodium, swelling clay, and excess water.
Gypsum lay-in ceiling panels should not be used in areas that are directly exposed to water. They should also not be used in swimming pools, shower dressing rooms and in areas with high humidity or moisture. Backload should be limited to 0.5 pounds per square foot. Enclosed or unheated spaces above the ceiling panels should be properly ventilated. Retainers or hold down clips must be provided in installations where sudden wind or air pressure change may uplift the panels. Use only an approved suspended system for exterior use when being installed outdoors.
The gypsum ceiling can be formed to accommodate different points of the light fixtures. Straight fluorescent tubes are usually placed on the edge of the ceiling and the wall. Down lighters can be placed on four corners of the room soffits. To get the different light effects in a room, the ceiling is designed to allow a hollow place to fit the fixtures. The wiring is done normally but with different switches. The dimmer switchers can also be used to enhance the light effects in the room.
Pulverised fuel ash can be reduced to a fine powder far more easily than silicate granulate, and its binding activity level is notably higher. When using normal Portland cement and fuel ash crushed to a fineness of 900 m2/kg, the ratio required of Ash to Cement is 1.5. If both of these components are are ground for a similar period (ten minutes) then their specific surface area will be exactly equal to – cement 550, and ash 1312 m2/kg. When using this level of grinding, the required proportion of the components drops to 1:1.
The light feature points on a gypsum ceiling are first identified. The recessed point is formed by cutting out the gypsum boards. A hole of one by three feet is done the room corners. This is at intervals of five feet apart. The ceiling brandering is shaped to allow for the recess. The depth of the hole is half a foot. A gypsum hollow box is formed. It is one by three feet long. The electrical conduit is placed up into the recess point. Wiring is also done from the room control point.
